Knowing this product and its uses, the ease of purchase from fuel economy systems was great. I prefer cars to computers but the purchase was easy and postage was fast. Great to deal with, happy to purchase anything in the future. Good works guys.

Bought the unit primarily for the Auto Trans temp option. ( Boris at FEC was helpful with the codes ) Did an outback trip with a caravan and was completely satisfied with the Scangauge. Distance reading was extremely accurate and KPH showed my speedo was out by 5%. A great product.

If you tow, the gauge is a must particularly if the vehicle is automatic. The difference in auto oil temperature when in DRIVE as opposed to S for Sports or Select is huge- from 80 to 140 Celcius within 500m in drive mode compared to S mode where it drops back to 80 within minutes as the torque convertor which is generating heat determining whether to change up or down a gear is now locked. Monitoring the load on the engine using the LOD parameter on the Gauge and driving to keep it at 50 to 75% increases fuel consumption markedly. In a Landcruiser 200 Diesel whilst towing a 2.2t full size caravan up to 100kph, forget 5th and 6th gear completely if you want low oil and coolant temperatures, revs within the torque band and increased fuel consumption. This info is based on 4 months annually on the road for the past 9 years using a Scan Gauge and now the Scan gauge 2.

I have only had the gauge for a few weeks. Will be able to give a more comprehensive assessment at a later date when I am towing my caravan.

Does everything you need, back light colour is also a very handy perk over other branded scangauges
