“The reason I gave the Berkey 4 stars not five is due to the very basic engineering of the unit. It doesn�۪t empty without tilting, the bottom chamber creates a vacuum and the water doesn�۪t flow properly without manually breaking the seal by lifting the top unit a bit and my original, very expensive sight glass spigot leaked all over the floor. The replacement one is perfectly fine. All these things would be fine in a cheap unit but this is not a cheap unit and therefore expectations a rightly higher.”
