A great size unit for our power needs. Having the remote control panel is a bonus being able to operate the inverter away from the main unit. Ease of operation & compact size.

The inverter does what it's designed to do, it's of decent build quality, but it is noisy, both acoustically and electrically. On small loads (e.g. 40W) it is silent, but once I start drawing a fraction more power (e.g. 60W), the fan starts spinning, and it seems it only have one speed, regardless of temperature, and I'm using it in Melbourne going into wintertime, so heat shouldn't be an issue. I really wish the fan would stay off at low temperatures (I have a cheaper inverter, and I have never observed its fan even turn on at all), and when it does turn on, it should vary its speed based off the temperature, rather than going straight to maximum speed, which is fairly loud. The inverter also makes it hard to listen to AM radio, which is disappointing considering its price, compared to my cheaper inverter which doesn't produce as much noise compared to the Kickass. Other observations that are neutral points to me: It comes with a pair of red & black cables to connect it to the battery and two 50A fuses (one as spare, which is good), but there is no fuse-holder (so you will have to use your own). The position of the grounding terminal, on the output side (with the USB and 230V sockets) of the inverter was a little odd, because it makes more sense to me to have all the cabling at the back of the inverter. What I did like was the display panel, which allows me to monitor battery voltage and power consumption. It also allows me to set the low-voltage disconnect up at 11V, which is higher than any other inverter I can find, as well as the ability to make the alarm silent.
