I purchased the Kickass 12V 300WATT Super Thin Portable Solar Panel. The cables are good quality but one of my solar panels came with 3 big semi circle shape defects in it where I was told this was normal n was where the clamps in the solar cell process
“I purchased the Kickass 12V 300WATT Super Thin Portable Solar Panel. The cable is good quality so I purchased the 10m cable to go with it so we can catch the sun and camp in the shade. These panels put out 3 times the power of my old glass panels and weight half the weight. Even with the two kids constantly smashing my 3 batteries in the camper with iPhones, iPads, Bluetooth speakers and lights plus the usual fridge freezer and camp lights, these solar panels keep my batteries topped up every day.”
“The magets are not powerful enough to hold the two halves together when folded. So when you walk it opens straight away, even walking one meter. When you take it out of the bag, you normally walk to a spot & setup, well you have to hold the thing closed with another hand. This is unnacceptable, when you unpack solar you throw the bag back inside & walk with the bare panel, that is how any real camper does it.
I had to spend $100 extra on two powerful magnets & some adhesive to glue them in myself so it actually stays shut when walking & any kind of handeling. Also they only gave me two spare corner protectors, & these get eatn up on hard surfaces, so overtime you will have to replace the whole lot & two isn't enough.
Such a shame I had to sepnd some more of my own money on an issue that should have been solved before it shipped.”

“Haven’t been able use them yet but have tested them out and they seem to work well. Can’t fault service from Aussie Direct as the first set they sent had some damage and they replaced straight away. This set also had some very minor damage to bag caused in transit but not bad enough to warrant going through another replacement. Overall quality is very good and light weight is a real winner. Hope to have them in our camping set up for many years to come. Just need to get through this COVID-19 crisis so we can do some more travelling.”
