Bought as upgrade from Gen1 GF30. Like the new features (controller, perforated malt basket, larger CFC). Great value product and service from AHB.

Very new to the home brewing game and so far have only run one all grain batch with it, seemingly very easy to use and at this point all working perfectly and to plan. Definitely happy with my purchase.

Highly recommend. I have been brewing for a while (about 30 brew days) with the Grainfather S40 and have just changed to the Grandfather G30v3. The S40 does the job, but the ease of operation, cooling, transferring of the wort and cleaning of the G30v3 is a significant improvement and well worth the change. The Bluetooth controller with the ability to automate the process makes brew days a lot more enjoyable and the quality of construction is fantastic and a lot more robust than the S40 (most noticeably the grain basket, which in the S40 can be quite fragile). While I used to brew 10kg of grain for 25 litres of wort in the S40, the ability of the G30v3 to brew 9 kg of grain for 23 litres of a high abv wort is amazing considering it is 10 litres smaller. If I had my time over and knew more, I would have gone straight for the G30v3.
