“We've made this kit several times and it's consistently outstanding. There's a lovely balance between the malt, the hops and the smokiness that makes it a joy to drink. It's a tiny bit more complex than just a straight extract kit and would make an excellent next step for someone who has done a little brewing already and wants to step things up. Highly recommended.”
“This was my first brew incorporating grain mashing, previously brews have always been with extract kits as my equipment is rather modest. I thought I would need all the complicated gear for it to happen. I didn't, the recipe can be done with a big pot, easy to follow instructions and I have to say, while mashing, the aroma from the grains were intoxicating and will certainly do another like this again. The beer itself, very popular among friends who I have shared the product with, the right balance of smoke, hops for a porter. Highly recommend this for those who are curious about grain mashing.”
