“Seal half why up the condenser failed causing a leak. Contacted customer support over two weeks of back and forth e-mails getting bounced from Australia to New Zealand and finally the UK I got a response but am still yet to receive any update on when they will be replacing the part. Absolutely appalling customer service.”
“Early days in my distilling career.
I made my first wash which went ok. The distilling run was difficult to get the water flow to remain consistent so I had to keep adjusting it most of the time. The alcohol produced has a strong methylated spirits smell which is still present after diluting and filtering. I used the 'southern whiskey' flavour to replicate Jack Daniels but it's not real similar and the metho smell and taste is still there. Maybe my next batch will be better as I have ordered the specific Jack Daniels flavour kit.”
“After 40 years of beer brewing time for a change, found the TURBO 500 kit to be easy to use by following the instructions carefully, not the same as brewing beer, more involvement and need to put aside 6 odd hours on final day including clean up.
Have finished my first distill and will do tasting after dinner, after brewing beer for so long you learn to wait. Great product.”
