“Good Value for money, had a few issues installing but was able to get helpful advice from both Mongoose support and The Automotive Superstore Team. Now it’s installed and Wireless Apple CarPlay working and reverse camera all without issues whatsoever. Would highly recommend including some basic install instructions with the kit.”

“Very good final product, everything works a treat. Installation wasn’t easy as it had different size mini bolts with it and did not come with instructions. It took a bit of adjustment to secure it. I would recommend they send instructions, however almost all cables could only fit in one corresponding plug so I figured it out. The support team were quick to respond and all is working very well now that it is in.”

“I bought the kit for a VZ Commodore which included the Mongoose Unit and the harnesses, removal tools, fascia panel and patch leads. Nothing else was needed and it all fitted up perfectly without having to cut any of the factory wiring. I also installed a reverse camera at the same time which works nicely with the unit. The Mongoose Q-U720AC looks great and is an improvement over the sound of the stock head unit. I mainly got it because it offers wireless Apple Carplay and this works perfectly. Once paired with your phone the unit goes into Carplay after 10 seconds or so of starting and I've had no problems with streaming music via Spotify and using Google Maps etc. The head unit is supplied with an external mic and I placed this at the top of the A pillar after removing some trim. Phone calls are loud and clear. I also connected the single USB at the rear of the unit to a flush mount USB extension which I placed in the centre console under the lid next to the stock 12v cig lighter socket if I want to charge my phone. You can change to colours of the backlit buttons on the side to match the factory green so it looks quite stock at night. The supplied patch lead meant that the steering wheel controls work perfectly - Volume up/down, Mute, Mode and Next +/- work well in Carplay mode. I don't have an Android phone so cant test the Android Auto feature. Overall it was a fairly easy install with just a few screws to remove to gain access to the stereo and centre console and I'm really happy with the way it looks, sounds and performs. It certainly gives new life to a 15 year old car.”
