This is a very nice system however not made for use teaching a high cardio program. I teach Jazzercise and had difficulty with keeping the mic from bouncing and maintaining consistent sound projection of my voice. I had to go back to my reliable body pack headset mic. Seems like a mic better suited for a program which doesn't require a lot of high impact movement.

I teach group fitness and water aerobics. The group fitness room has old model 77. I bought the 88 to teach water aerobics. It is incredibly comfortable, and unlike the 77, I can turn my head left and right (shaking "no") without feeling the battery lump in the back restrict my movement. Yes, the charger's lack of enough magnetic grip is a bit tricky at first. Now I just make sure to balance it on top with cord on shelf, not hanging. Works fine. Here's why I'm a fan of the charging: water can't get in, and being gold, it doesn't rust. I don't go underwater, but I definitely get it wet splashing around, and a few Oops moments in the deep end. Sealed and secure. The spongy thing on the mic always gets wet, but I take it off and let it dry when not in use. I find the headset so comfortable I forget about it, but I do have a big head for a female. Perhaps they could add an inner adjustable fitting strap for those who need one? I'm extremely happy with this, and not having to use a backpack in the water, and the sound and range are excellent.

Good news regarding the adjustment strap: Samson has created one, and everybody that bought this system from us will be receiving a free one in the mail shortly. New systems will include the strap at no cost going forward.

So far the new headset, Airline 88, has been wonderful! Sound is clear, no feedback, mouth piece stays in place. The only negative response I have gotten from a couple of instructors is that the headset cannot be adjusted to fit there heads.

Had to return it— I have a small head and no matter what I did it did not stay on/in place- even with a headband wrapped around it.

I've had this mic for 2 weeks now. I teach in a high school gym (full-size basketball court). I have about 80 students in the room. The back row students commented that they can now understand what I'm actually saying. This mic is very clear - no muffled 'drive-thru' sound. Cons: this mic has a rechargeable battery...which as you may know, when they run out of juice, there is no notice - they are just gone. I do not have the ability to charge the mic on-site, so I have to take it home to charge. I have forgotten to bring it twice now (in just 2-weeks). I would rather have it run on AA or AAA...You can tell when the juice is getting low - and you can replace the battery and continue teaching! Also, the wire that runs from the ear piece to the mouth piece is very thin and flexible/moveable. It does not stay in place as I am jumping around - and therefore my voice is not being projected properly at all times. I never had this problem with the Airline 77 that I've had for about 8 years.
