“The reason for 3 stars is the velcro on the hock brace. There is no need for it to go all the way around the brace since you could never close it that far. Because of the exposed velcro, it is sticking to the rug which not only pulled the fiber from the rug but is stuck in the velcro. I spend time pulling the fibers out of the velcro and coming up with a sort of solution by attaching sticky tape to the exposed part. Impossible to know if the Welltex actually does more than another brace. Wish my dog could tell me how he feels but he can't :-). Also disappointed to find that the product is made in China.”

We concur that the hook & loop closures could be shorter. Dogs have differing conformation challenges and the hook & loop straps are not too long in all circumstances. We are sorry for your frustration of having to clear the straps of fibers. We assure you that our technology makes a huge difference. Maybe your dog can tell you in other way? China, Taiwan, India, Sweden and Ukraine are all trading partners. Our fabric is made in Taiwan and shipped to the other countries and all our design and product development occurs in Sweden. We will send you a small hock brace to see if it performs any differently.

“Seems to be a good product but we have a 14 year old black lab and these black braces are hard to see and once you have them on it is very hard to see the black velcro straps to undo or adjust, may think about adding some contracting color to straps to make them easier to see.”
