“I'd been eyeing off the black and beige kittiwakes for months, and when they went on sale I decided to take a risk. Normally, I hate buying shoes without trying them on first, but Bared's exchange policy reassured me. I ordered a pair in my usual size (38), and when they got here, I found they were a little too big.
I wasn't sure if that was the way they were supposed to fit, so I requested the next size down to compare, and Bared posted them out. I was able to try the two sizes, choose the smaller one, and send the 38's back using the reusable post bag and the return paid label provided. Fantastic, smooth exchange!
As for the shoes themselves, I couldn't be happier. It takes a few wears to break them in - I recommend wearing band aids on toes and heels where the leather rubs until it's worn in, but after that they're fine! The strap should be tight, I think, so your foot doesn't slide forward in the shoe, so try to use the smallest pin hole you can close it on. Mine are comfortable and stylish, and I LOVE the sounds of my heels when I walk around in them. The black and beige works well with all black professional attire or goes great with jeans.
Definitely size down with these ones; they fit a little large.
