“Overall, these are my favourite pair of Bared shoes yet! I have wide feet and so the additional leather up the outer side of the shoe is great. I find my kittiwakes still ‘bite’ the side of my foot, but not the manakins! The only reason for the four star rating is because I’ve had to take the shoes to a cobbler to get extra length on the straps to account for a high midfoot, but it’s worth it considering the overall comfort of the shoe. I also had to go down one size to get the best fit. I am definitely looking at getting more manakins in additional colours, I get so many compliments on the nude colour!”
“So I’ve been scoping Bared shoes for a while, stalking their Insta and pouring over their website humming and hawing over whether to take the leap of faith and buy shoes from a brand I’ve never got to see or try on in person on the other side of the world. The yearly sale was the push I needed and I ordered 2 pairs, the Manakin being one. I’m so so glad I did! They’re gorgeous. High quality leather, beautifully made, supportive in the arch, they don’t fall off my feet. 18 months ago I suffered a foot injury and I haven’t been able to wear any of my heels since. These are the first shoes that restore my sense of polish and style while still being comfortable. Grateful!!”
“These are classy! I bought for work (in time for all the restrictions...) and they are beautiful! Even sitting in my home office with my trackies! They feel a lot less ‘secure’ than my other bared shoes because there are no straps around the arch and the heel is fairly open but once you wear them for a while and get used to how they feel they are fine - they are still really supportive! I have a normal width foot and size down in all of my Bared shoes but usually need to stretch out my right foot a bit but these are actually quite roomy - I think it’s because the inside of the shoes are ‘open’ which gives your foot room to move across a bit. Super cute and super happy!”

These shoes are surprisingly good, even with the pointy toe and firm base. I like the gel pads they came with too. They seriously ramped up my style factor on the occasions I have worn them.
