“Now I will preface this review by saying I have worn these only once so far. I have wide feet with prominent bunions. I find most of the bared sandal styles are made with a single strap across the foot that would never accomodate or even look any good with my bunions so I decided to try the Kea style instead. I followed the directions for placing the insert in and the shoe immediately felt like it fitmuch better. Without the insert the ankle strap was far too loose and my foot was flopping around. Sadly, however, as with almost every other brand of leather lined court shoe style heels I have tried, the Kea after a while started to dig in to the widest parts of my feet (along the bunion on The inside of my foot and the bottom joint of my little toe on the outside of my foot. I had hoped that this shoe may have hit just past these prominent parts of my feet and aided in my overall comfort. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. As I’m not in Melbourne I wasn’t able to try before buying. They are super cute though and I will keep wearing them, just not for very long and hopefully the more I wear them the softer they become and maybe a little kinder on my feet.”

With the forefoot, you might find the gel inserts are actually minimising too much space, causing discomfort. With this style, the ankle strap is the bit that is securing you in, therefore, it needs to be done up securely. If you need to punch a few more holes in the straps, that's totally okay! Most local cobblers can do that for you super quickly.
