“I had struggled to find sleek Chelsea boots to wear comfortably all day with my full foot orthotic –until I tried the woodpecker. The heel height is comfortable enough to wear all day and the shoe is deep to accommodate my orthotic. I have a wide foot with a high arch, and the pointy toe allows comfortable wear without toe squashing or looking ‘too long’. I am true to size in all my bared shoes and this one was no different. I particularly like the all black heel and leather, so I can wear in the corporate environment as well as on the weekends. Definitely well worth the spend on this quality shoe.”
“I love the look of these boots, however they're super tight around the ankles, particularly my left boot - I think there is some kind of defect in the leather at the ankle stitching as it's quite thick and rigid, and after I wore them all day I had a massive painful bruise just above my left ankle bone :( Not sure what to do and whether I can take them to a cobbler to have them stretched...? Would have loved to rate these higher but they are too painful for me to wear right now :( Sizing is great (I usually wear a 38 but went down to a 37 because I have narrow feet and they fit perfectly), they're very stylish and go with everything, but shame about the tightness of the left ankle!!”

“I bought these boots in the last bared sale and love them!! The tan colour is lovely and they are super comfortable. I was deciding between these and the tan Cardinal boots but went with Woodpeckers as I thought they looked a bit dressier and I already have Cardinals in black. They are equally comfortable but a little lower in the ankle and they are easier to get on and off while Cardinals take some wearing in!!. I think they look great with pants and dresses.”
“Took a few wears to really get comfortable, they were quite tight around the ankles at first, but after about 4-5 wears they have stretched just enough and are now so comfy and I can quite easily wear them on my feet all day. Look great and go with so many different outfits, including dresses, skirts and jeans/pants. I've already had so many compliments for them, very happy.”
