We do use quite firm leather for all our styles so that your shoes retain their shape over time and remain supportive. So they can be a little tight around your ankle at the beginning!
However, this will soften with wear and be easier to get on and off. You can try using the thin footbeds instead of the standard footbeds. This will give you a little extra wiggle room to get the boots on and off.
