“I purchase my thorntails for the holiday I’m currently on, hoping to walk all day in them. I have walked all day, but definitely hobbled by the end. I’m finding the leather is pressing uncomfortably across the joint of my big toe and has bruised it. I’m putting this down to not enough wear prior to the big day out, but can’t give it a higher score as a result. Love the look and hope that the leather will become more supple over time.

“A few weeks after I purchased these shoes, I accidentally sank ankle-deep into a loosely-packed nature strip. The mud was so wet that it sank into the fabric of my shoe, to the point where the shoe was not salvageable and I had to throw it out.
Thankfully, I was actually wearing a pair of old sneakers at the time and not these! Because wow I love these. They're super comfortable and I love the look of them (I have them in Black Nubuck). The fit is great, which is helpful since I have narrow ankles that tend to make finding a good fit difficult. So it turns out the mud gave me a good excuse to start wearing these all the time, although I'm now scared of losing them to a similar fate. Will be sticking to paved surfaces for a while!”
