“I wear a pair of 37 studded lapwings. They are beautiful shoes - I get a lot of compliments - however I've been wearing them for 5 days a week for 2 months and the leather still haven't softened. I still have to wear a bandaid on one toe on each foot to avoid rubbing blisters, and if I have to walk a bit further, I might pop a bandaid on my heel as well.
So if you have soft feet like me, just be aware it will take a bit of work to wear them in! I understand that the stiff leather is so the shoe lasts longer.

“I saw the amazing reviews and I've been struggling with finding the right footwear for work for ages. The reviews on Bared and, especially Lapwing were so promising, little did I know I was going to be disappointed. I bought the patent ones and they were rock solid and hard - the insides rubbed against any prominent surfaces I had on my feet and by the end of the day I had blisters that were incredibly sore and bleeding (especially on my little toe, for some reason on the top of my second toe - which I never get blisters on - must be the hard top) and on the back of my heel. They're pretty and trendy, but really not worth the pain. I've tried to 'break them in' as suggested on the site, but really really not happy. :-(”
