Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I am sorry to hear the Lapwings aren't as comfortable as your Dunnocks.
They are 2 very different styles with different shape toe boxes. How do you find the length of them? We do do elongate the length of out point so you should have about a thumbs width of space between the end of the shoe and your toes.
Have you tried using the thin footbed provided in the fitting pack? This will help drop you down into the shoe a bit more so you have a bit more space. The thin footbed can help greatly when it comes to wearing in the shoe :)

I wear foot socks, BUT despite the skimpiest pair they show, probably because the shoe size is too big and my foot doesn't fit snugly into the front/top part of the shoe. Bared Customer Service is amazing. I purchased a lightly larger size than my feet as the patent leather is a bit stiff at the beginning. Once the leather stretch, the shoes become a whole size bigger. Bared customer service rings me and offered different solutions. Although at the end, not much could be done as I already wore the shoes a whole month, and the plastic add in at the heel of the shoes slowly fall out; I really appreciate their effort in providing me the best possible shoes I could get. I work in luxury retail and understand about customer expectation, and customer service level. Bared is the best!
One tip for who thinking the buy the Lapwing: I think this style suit narrow feet better than wide feet like mine. I'll purchase the Quail next time as I think they fit my feet better.”
