“I am 47 and was in desperate need of some comfortable stylish shoes. I dont have foot problems as such - ie nothing diagnosed but I just cant wear heels or cant bear to have uncomfortable shoes. I was desperately looking for something I could wear with jeans that werent 'ballet flats' - all the ones I'd tried and failed with were very bendy and would end up causing my bottoms of my feet and my back to ache..... I dont have a lot of money to spend on shoes but I'm happy to spend when I can see value for money. I was very very lucky to trip across this website on a Sunday night on a weekend in Melbourne (I'm from country SA), and had 45 minutes to spare on the Monday before I had to catch a flight. I was at the store at 10am not intending to buy but to get an idea of what they were really like. I could have bought every shoe in the place if only I could have. What I really appreciated was not only the quality of the shoes but also the time spent making sure of my size (it turns out I'm a 37) and the lady who served me explained how even in the flat shoes they have a small rise (I'd said about how I had back pain with really flat shoes). Anyway - I bought these nude Currawongs then and there and although was looking really to wear them with jeans, I have worn them with everything - especially to work. They were comfortable from the get-go. I am saving up to buy more shoes - I'm aiming for one of the beautiful patent lace ups for next winter and also hoping to buy some for summer. At least I know what my size is properly and really appreciate the multi fit packaging that the saleslady explained comes with them. I know I will be no longer looking anywhere else for shoes but will head straight here. A relief to not be buying shoes only to be disappointed with them... I figure this is way more economical anyway (thats what I tell my husband!) because I know they will be worn and worn and worn. Thankyou for making me feel like I can wear fashionable beautiful shoes again.”
“Simply, these are really comfortable. They look great and help me so much with my plantar fasciitis and wide feet. I think these are a slightly wider fit than other Bared shoes I’ve tried but the insoles provided helps with this. Can’t wait to buy more. More sandals for people with high insteps please!!”

We stumbled across Bared when I was in Melbourne on a girls weekend with my mum and sister a few years ago.
My first purchase were the pink loafers and they are seriously the comfiest shoe ever. There was no turning back from there. My wardrobe only consists of Bared shoes now. They are seriously addictive. I recently had to have the loafers repaired by Bared and they offered full payment of delivery costs and the quality of service I experienced was above and beyond. Bared really do care about their customers.
The Currawong in Nude Leather shoes are the perfect little addition to jazz up an outfit. They are so cute but have a smartness to them. They are oh so comfy and are great for wide feet. I always struggled with other popular brands with their shoes as they were always to narrow and not comfortable. You can walk around in these all day and are great for a shopping spree in Melbourne when you hit the ground running.
I had a bit of rubbing on the back of my heel as I have had with the other shoes, but by the 2nd/3rd wear they are gone.
I get complemented at work on these shoes and have even convinced people into buying them/other styles from Bared.
I already have my eye on the Grey Leather Lapwing with studs that has just arrived.”
“My first Bared buy was the Currawongs in both black and nude. Customer service is top level and I was able to try on a good few pairs before making my decision. These shoes are super cute and smart, as well as comfortable. I had a bit of rubbing on the heel on the first all day wear but I kind of expected that. I have wide feet and they fit comfortably.
The first time I wore the black to work I had comments on how lovely they look....bonus!
