“These sandals are super cute; you can dress them up or down and they'll complete the outfit. However, they're unexpectedly heavy and the rubber is hard and not cushy support as I assumed. The first day I wore them I had them on all day (9 hours), I was at an event and mostly standing. By the end of the day my foot had a shooting pain in it and I had to take them off. This surprised me because the footbed has the right contours and support, so I suspect it from the shoes being very stiff. I expected them to be somewhat forgiving because they're rubber, but this isn't the case. I'm bummed because I was hoping these would be my main travel sandal, a stylish upgrade from my rubber Birkenstocks, but they aren't. I'm keeping them because they're the cute and I can wear them for shorter periods of time, but I am disappointed that they are so heavy and stiff.
That being said, this 3 stars is for the sandal, but Bared customer service was exceptional! I accidentally sent my order to a friend's house and they helped me sort it out. They are wonderful.”

“I'm so disappointed!! These felt so comfortable when I first tried them on, but after 3 minutes of wearing them out in the world, I developed blisters on both feet. They also smelled terribly of perfume, like the rubber itself was infused with artificial scent. It's beyond frustrating to have spent almost $200 on a pair of luxury sandals that I wore only once, and then couldn't return because they were technically worn.”

Thank you for your feedback on the Sanderlings sandals. You're totally right, these shoes are a little heavier than your standard waterproof sandal. This is due to the extra support that is built into the footbed. Rest assured, the weight becomes less noticeable as you get used to it with wear.

“This is my second pair of Sanderlings. I went with black this time - a change from the tan coloured I purchased a few years back. I wear these 7 days a week during warmer months. They are great for work - dressy enough to pair with pants, dresses or skirts but also casual enough to match with Jeans or shorts. They are perfect for days with lots of running around, or a day at the beach, walking the dog, or going out with friends day to night. Love love love them!”
