“Currently I’m going to have to give it 3 stars. I understand it takes time for a leather band to not be stiff but the sides are too straight which makes the watch face arch up that the Apple watch can’t touch the skin to give heart treat readings. The bands I purchased were both too small for my wrist size and I’ve reached out twice to Barton and they haven’t responded. Other than that the look of the band is beautiful and seems like very good quality of leather.”

Hey Barbara, Thanks for taking the time to review your recent purchase. Sorry to hear that the Alligator Apple band fell short of your expectations. We would like to assure you that our leather is high quality. It is in fact top grain bovine leather. Portions of the cowhide are hand selected specifically for use in our products and the leather is aniline dyed, which means that the dye runs all the way through and the leather generally has more character than lower quality leathers or imitation leather. Our Alligator straps are also padded, so they do require a short break in period and within a couple days of use will make for a very comfortable strap.
