“The Barton Elite Silicone watch band is a replacement for an Isofrane rubber watch band I had recently purchased. The Isofrane caused continuous heat rash issues. It is late spring here in Florida, and the heat and humidity are not a good environment for the Isofrane. I switched to the silicone strap; the heat rash issues vanished almost immediately. Also, the silicone is more comfortable than rubber next to my skin, regardless of the temperature. Further, the Barton buckle's finish was customizable. I chose the "gunmetal grey" finish as it matches the color of my watch case. The Isofrane only came in the obligatory shiny stainless finish. I wear an expensive chronograph and will not "skimp" on the price of a proper watch band for it. However, the Barton simply outperforms the Isofrane - even though the latter cost over four times as much.”
