“This Sailcloth strap arrived along with other straps I had purchased. It has an incredibly strong suede smell to it. It was also very stiff out of the packaging. I won't purchase from Barton ever again!”
Hey Akshat, Sorry to hear about the the Sailcloth strap left you disappointed. Our Sailcloth straps are padded and typically require a short break-in period when compared with our other leather straps. To speed up the break-in process, with the strap removed from the watch, repeatedly flex the strap near the spring bar as far as you can up and down for about 5 or 10 minutes. This, along with a couple days of use will make for a very comfortable strap. We encourage you to shoot us an email at info@bartonwatchbands.com as all of our products and purchases carry a 100% satisfaction guarantee and we're happy to help make things right.
“This is my second Sailcloth strap and it is everything I expected in a quality strap. It takes a while to break in but so far I'm loving it on my Spinnaker Cahill. As always, highly recommended for great Customer Service and fast shipping!!”
“After seeing a black sailcloth on a Nodus watch at WindUp, I fell in love with the way it looked and felt on my wrist! I purchased a 20mm and a 22mm one and love them both. If there was any "gripe", I would like to see a quick release spring bar with a fatter tip option for Seiko divers.”
