“I've spent around 6 months researching fishing kayaks for offshore conditions for the VIC surfcoast. There's only a handful of models that are capable. I purchased the 4.3m Angler Pro and I absolutely love it. It is fast and stable and provides a great platform for accessing reefs and fish spots off-shore. The design is very well thought through and there's a tonne of custom/accessory work you can do as upgrades. Build quality is outstanding, customer service and after-purchase support is exceptional. This kayak cuts it with some of the boutique off-shore ski brands but for a fraction of the price. I would recommend anyone looking at offshore kayak fishing to consider the angler pro series. It's big and heavy so you will need a storage and transport solution. Mine goes under the beach house and I can drag/carry it single handed across grass to the car. I roof mount it for transport and it can be done with one person (just) and no mechanical assist but be warned all large kayas are hefty. So unless you go with a carbon fibre custom Stealth 4.75m kayak that weighs about 20kg (and costs about $6k) I think this is the best bang for buck in ocean capable skis. Definitely check them out.”
