“I love my Bay sports kayak. The 3.1m kayak is a good size as it has lots of storage but is small enough to be managed by one person. I love how stable and how easy it glides on the water with little paddling. The seat sits very nice in either slot and is generally pretty stable. But through rapids and fast flowing water it becomes a unstable because it is such a light kayak. I really appreciate that there’s no straps with the seat that would get in the way whilst I’m flicking lures. It is worth every cent I payed for it.”
“I have used it for the first time and found it moves well through the water. I went quite a distance on it and was surprised by how effortless it was to propel so much so that I went a lot further than I expected. The build quality is also pretty good as well from what I can see.
On the downside I found it not quite as stable as I expected though I could stand up in it with a bit of care but probably best not to do this too much. That’s probably a trade off for the low weight, which is part the reason I went for this model. You need the bungs in to keep the water out as the Kayak sits low in the water but then the wind also has less effect due to it’s low profile.
Overall I’m pretty happy with it for the money. I’m sure I could have bought a better heavier kayak but would have paid more for it as well.
If you want to get out and do some kayak fishing but don’t want to pay more than a thousand dollars then this kayak will do the job quite well.”
“Awesome customer service by Richard the contract carrier for Baysports. Rang him early in week of delivery letting him know was going away on the Friday afternoon he made sure we had both of our kayaks in the morning even if it meant changing his delivery run.
Tested then in Esperance and both worked a treat cant get the smile off my better halfs face when a pod of dolphins came up to say hello. She was nervous to start with as new experience but within ten mins was cruising like a pro.”
