“My husband and I bought carbon fibre paddles specifically for a long trip we were planning. We used them very sporadically over the 15 months prior to our big trip and we were very happy with them. They were comfortable to use, efficient and lightweight. We could really feel the difference in performance between them and our standard aluminium paddles. Unfortunately, once we began paddling the Murray River, both paddles quickly cracked where the two halves connect, and subsequently broke. We contacted Baysports even though the paddles were out of the 12 month warranty period, as I believed our issue came from a specific manufacturing flaw. After a lengthy process of communication back and forth, Baysports did a wonderful job of resolving our problem and providing us with a newer improved product. The service, communication and problem resolution from Baysports staff was exemplary (especially Kristine) and I feel that they do the best they can for their customers. I look forward to giving our new paddles a workout in the future, and will add an update then.”
