2-Piece Full Carbon Fibre Kayak Paddle (Adjustable) 220cm-230cm Reviews

4.7 Rating 27 Reviews
This paddle at first appearance seems great-comfortable, efficient and lightweight. My disgust with it arises from its one weak point which is the lock where the two halves connect. Both my husband and I have these paddles, and used them sporadically (maybe 10-12 times for up to 3 hours at a time) with no issues for 15 months. And then we set out on a longer journey and both paddles rather quickly cracked along this join and subsequently broke. When contacting Baysports, we were told that it was out of the 12 month warranty period and they washed their hands of the whole problem. For the price and supposed quality of the paddle, I could never recommend this paddle. Look elsewhere for something different.

Excellent quality and would recommend for upgrading from standard paddle You can paddle twice as fast with half the effort compared to standard paddle Well worth the money

Paddle is a bit heavier (795g) than advertised but still light. Easy to adjust and lock works well. Took a bit to dial in the right paddle position for me (silicon grip tape did the trick) but once done paddle works well.

I broke my first carbon fibre paddle a year ago so I ended up using the basic backup paddle so I never realised how good the carbon fibre paddles really are until I bought a second one and that’s when I finally could compare the two , much faster which doesn’t drain your energy levels as quick as they do with the basic paddle , more bang for your buck.

Light and easy to use. We used adjustment on 6 which suited my son and I ( 172-177cm tall)

It's a great paddle. very light weight. quite sturdy. one thing you need to know is that the blade is scoop shaped. You might need to modify your technique. it works differently than a flat blade paddle. my preference is a flat blade though.
