“The communication and service from Bay Sports has been great, and the quality of the kayak seems good. The fitout of the cockpit is disappointing however and not suitable for whitewater kayaking. While the kayak from the manufacturer Verus comes fitted with hip pads and a ratchet adjustable back strap, mine arrived from Bay Sports with no hip pads and "pinch" system for the backrest, which fails as soon as you lean against the backrest. This means having to replace most of the cockpit, at some expense, before it is fit for purpose”
The hip pads is optional. Verus is not the manufacturer and we procure the same kayak from the same supplier. Our production facility mentioned that the strap is different with us from Verus as Verus shipped the strap to them only use for their own kayak they sell.
