“Great boat!
Due to blowing my knee and being told that my running days are over, I decided I'd look into paddling to fill the void.
This boat is an excellent entry into paddling - it's not going to cut it against the 5.2m racing skis but it's not designed to.
It's stable without feeling like a barge, and great for pootling about.
I'm paddling for fitness and perhaps some flatwater distance races in the future, so will soon step up to a longer faster boat, but I'm going to keep the speedy for pleasure paddling etc.

“The boat is exactly as advertised. Light weight and easy to handle out of the water. It is quite comfy on the water. It has a bit of drag in the water but less than most sit on kayaks, it is not a touring kayak so it is better than expected.
Advantages over an expensive touring kayak are you can launch or pull up anywhere without worring about damage.
Definitely recommend upgrading the paddle. The standard would be good for kids, but an adult putting in effort it has too much flex.

“There was little price difference between this and the lead in kayaks, so I thought why not go the upgrade. The Speedy is super fast and it seems to glide effortlessly across the water. It is super stable too. Handles rougher conditions with ease. I've taken it out across bays and creeks for 2-3 hour treks and never had issues. Great for beginners too! Highly recommended.
My only complaint is about the pad eye plates on each side where you will invariably attach straps from your seat to. They are hard plastic but they have both snapped off due to the tension required from seat straps. I will go to a marine store to buy quality ones , so perhaps manufacturer design needs to be different. Otherwise the product gets 5 starts, so sorry I had to take a point away.”
