“I am new to paddle boarding and very intentional in how I spend my money. I went to multiple stores and looked at many online iSUPs. There were a number of reasons I chose the board
1. The reviews for the brand and Bay Sports.
2. The contents of the total package. This included the SUP, bag, paddle and a new style triple action pump. I was looking at another iSUP but was keen to get the triple action pump.
3. The pricing was good at the time, although I didn't receive the sign-up email and lost out on the 10% discount.
The quality of the board is obvious when you open the package. It is more evident when you see it beside much cheaper iSUP boards. It is better constructed and has a more solid look.
Although I am (was) a beginner, I found the SUP to be easy to inflate, light to carry and very stable to ride.
There are some minor negatives but nothing to affect the rating.
1. The paddle lost a screw when I was out on the water. I was lucky to find it had landed on the board and retreived it without falling in. Me or the screw. It was easy enough to fix once back on shore.
2. The removal fin has lost a small part that potentially stops it swinging loose. I am waiting for a replacement.
3. The lack of 10% discount.
I am out on it every day that is possible and love to be out on the harbour away from the hussle and bussle. It is great fun, easy to manouvre and I wouldn't hesitate recommending to get it.
