“Rodenbach Grand Cru is going to divide opinion (perhaps, then, it might be best to approach it as a kind of 'marmite' beer). For some people the taste is going to be more like red wine vinegar but for me it tastes more like sour cherries which have been marinated in oak, along with a curious almost leather-like note. So, in short, a sour, tart, very complex beer with beautiful red/brown hues in the glass, which, curiously, if you like marmite, I think you'll love.”

“I love this beer. Fruity (although brewed without) , slightly sour, well carbonated, complex, almost champagne-like tang that really refreshes and slakes a thirst. Not to everyone's taste, but well worth trying because if you like it, you'll love it. A true classic of Belgian brewing. Michael Jackson loved this beer. So there.”
