I didn't get a pair of more comfortable shoes for my reception - these were pricey, but all the reviews said how comfortable the shoes were. They are comfortable, and I will say, I felt pretty supported in them. I did re-tie the laces once or twice and I did end up taking them off for my reception - I think it was more due to the fact that there were tile floors and I felt like I was slipping all the time...not good when you are about to do your first dance!
