“As a first time Mum, I was very anxious about breast feeding. I have larger breasts which makes positioning awkward. Despite my determination to try breast feeding, I just couldnt imagine how I would actually manage at all whether it be at home let alone in public. I had no idea some Mums fed lying down on their sides until I came across the Bella moon concept on social media. It did strike a chord with me. I was super excited to get my full moon before baby arrived as it let me do a dry run plus I started using the pregnancy pillow immediately due to pregnancy hip and back pain. Given I was exclusively sleeping on my sides the pillow provided perfect position, support and relief, versatile enough to meet different sleeping positions. Ive used all the parts from the full moon and still have so many uses to try as baby and I progress. I do prefer feeding with the half moon alone personally but is such a comfortable and relaxing technique and position once you get the hang of things. It was particularly comforting in the early days, too tired to move let alone sit up holding baby, breasts too full, so it was very relaxing to know you could feed your baby and recoup at the same time. I dont always feed lying down and dont use the half moon exclusively but depending on which side Im feeding from, Baby lies on either side or her back with head turned. The space between the wedge and her is ample and very supportive. So she can be wrapped in her fav blanket, have a good old look about or gaze up at me and still feel me close ( uses her hands a lot). Ive Taken the feeding pillow to Ireland at Xmas time as I had no choice but to feed in the car and ferry plus didnt have the same space to use the full moon where we were staying so it was super. The breast feeding shield is ALWAYS in my travel bag as I am still not super confident in public.
The removable covers are a must have for me ( milk dribbles). Only comment I would offer is i have a personal preference to fleecy or micro fleece type lining to pillows, but then again that may be too slippery for use on this product. But itd be great if other cosy covers became available for use and could be bought independently.

“I was very blessed to have came across this product by chance before I became pregnant with my second baby.
I was very unwell with SPD throughout my organ that but especially in the last trimester which is when I got my full Bella Moon. I love using this, especially for lateral feeding. It genuinely provides me with a lot of comfort. I try to use the full Moon bed most days for an afternoon feed and it definitely gives me more energy. I use the Half Moon every night and its just so clever - I love feeding my baby this way. All the other functions are delightful add-ons that have all been very useful along our journey. Its a bit pricy but I bought it with the Mumsnet10 discount code and it is worth its price.”
