“I have installed one of the gearboxes an Orbit traveling sprinkler and it is working properly. Very easy installation and much more cost effective than buying an entire sprinkler. The gears in these gear boxes are not provided with any type of clutch or device to prevent them being overloaded should the sprinkler be stalled. The gears are probably made of nylon and will break if overloaded. Unfortunately most of the time the sprinkler will not work on either the high or low speed setting.”
