“I installed this pump under a bar sink in my garage and it pumps about 3ft horizontally then 5ft vertically to get the water outside. I asked the manufacturer if I could reduce the discharge line to a hose so that it was easier to route than 1.5" pvc....they told me no. I plumbed the pvc line and when I watched it pump for the first time I understood why I couldn't reduce it. It's incredibly quiet and when it cycled I was amazed at how much water it removes at once.
