“Was having trouble getting hot water from our tankless water heater to upstairs shower and wash sink, also to same floor. Rinnai suggested this kit to descale the heater and it was simple to use and worked great all seems to be back in order.”
“After having a plumber out a couple times to service my tankless water heater I decided it looked easy enough that I could do it and save a great deal of money over time. I got the kit for what would have been about the same as one service call from the plumber. Easy to use especially if you search youtube for some demo videos.”
“I have an oil fired furnace in my house with the summer/winter hookup. My domestic hot water is heated within a coil inside the furnace hot water. The flow rate of hot water at the faucets was becoming less and less. To get a decent shower temperature I had to open the hot valve all the way and barely crack open the cold! My furnace guy was here to tune up the unit when I mentioned this low hot water flow rate to him. He told me his company could give the coil an acid treatment to open it up. This would cost almost $600 with no guarantee it would work or how long it may last! After researching this on the good old internet I discovered any de scaling treatment which uses a strong acid will cause pitting and galling inside the coil. This will cause the coil to block up quickly because it is no longer smooth inside and the scale now has something to stick to. It made sense to me so my search continued. I happened upon Big Frog Supply and their de scaler kit. After calling Big Frog (and speaking with Phil) several times to ask a few questions about this kit, I decided I would try it. Let me close this rather lengthy review by simply saying my expectations were greatly exceeded by both the product and by their knowledgable representative Phil. My hot water now flows virtually the same as the cold!! Yahoooooo!”
