Reason I gave it 4 stars is if you want to change days watering remotely, it has to be turned on at control box, but in order to have programmed, you have have on at least 1 day. I would like ability to shut it down completely from remote location.”
“The module works fine in terms of setup with the Wifi and the app. There are intermittent problems of connecting to the module although my 2.4G connection is very strong where my rainbird is placed in the garage. I also am surprised that every time it connects, it downloads something from the controller which takes a little time. In general, the system and the product works. The GUI interface of the app can be a little simpler and easier to use, something rain bird can think of.”
“I had this at a previous home and when we did the yard this month the Lanscaper installed the Rain Bird sprinkler system and all I needed was the wifi module. You can do everything on the app that you can do manually on the system but the difference is, you can do this when you're away. The 1st generation WIFI module wasn't as stable as it is now, I am sure they have don revisions of the software because my old one would constantly disconnect. This one is connected consistently without it dropping off. Rain Bird's tech support is also good.”
