“I deliberated between this kit, various Lithium ion pole saws, and the yellow pole version by Jameson, which I understand would be slightly more stout, maybe more durable....but after spending a few minutes piecing together the same 3pc kit with blade (they don't seem to sell it as a pkg), I balked at the price premium of the yellow version and decided I could rationalize the 'homeowner-grade' product....being a homeowner and not a professional yardcare type. Overall, I'm totally pleased. I have 5ac of land in fire country (interior Washington) with numerous ponderosa pines and deciduous trees. This tool is helping me prune mostly dead branches up about 25-30ft on the pines - this could keep fire on the ground, not in the canopy, should a wildfire come through. Overall, great tool. Yeah, it gets flimsy with the 3rd shaft added in, but you figure out a rythm. Leverage is definitely not on your side when you're way up there but it does the job for quite cheap. The blade has a very satisfying bite to it but I am going to buy a backup blade as I could see snapping it when working up high, when things get clumsy. I'd buy it again.”
