“I bought this pump and installed it for a customer. Right out of the box, it was ready to go. I ran about 60ft. of 3/4 copper pipe over to it, with an independent shutoff valve for ease of future servicing. I installed an independent 1 1/2'' PVC discharge line out of the house and installed a check valve in the discharge line just before the pump. I know that the manufacturer specifies to have back flow prevention built in, but for $7.00 i figured why not just thrown one in, and take the extra stress off of the pump. I also piped in a dual check valve right by the water inlet on the Jet H2O as a precautionary measure. The Shark-bite connection works well on the water inlet of the Jet H2O for pretty much any approved piping that is used. I chose to use copper. I also used a copper and brass union about 16'' away from the pump as an easy way to remove the entire assembly if needed.
