I had great success with this pattern in NC this fall tying it as a dropper behind a larger dry fly. I had 1-2 hits on the dry over the course of a couple of days, but caught most of my fish on this nymph. It turned up in nearly all of my research for good fall/winter patterns in NC, and did not disappoint. The fly seemed well tied to me, and each lasted through multiple fish and mountain laurel branches.

This fly scored when nothing else was working on Georgetown Lake.
