“These flies do catch fish. Some of thier other patterns do as well. This one is super cheap and holds together for a decent number of fish. I was catching fish to transfer from one pond to another and took 6-10 fish per fly before they were worn out. I did have a 4 lb bass snap one of the hooks. Still a great fly for a reasonable price. They have a smaller version that did better numbers wise for me but this fly consistently produced larger fish and a few carp as well.”
“I just got mine in and out of the 12 I ordered, maybe 2 resembled a crayfish. All the rest had they "claw" feathers bunched together and looking like 1. I carefully applied pressure to separate these to make them look as they should and on 2 of them, one of the feathers came out. Not a fun experience unpackaging them. I expected them to be better. Haven't fished them yet.”
“I've been fishing this fly for two years for smallmouth bass, and it is my favorite for smallies. It seems to do best around rocks and in the early part of the year when the fish are in shallower water. The fly sinks fairly slowly and is easy to cast. I loose a lot of flies on the rocks, so order more than you think you'll need.”
