I was surprised at the excellent quality of this reel. The drag is amazing! It handled some big, beefy browns on my most recent trip. Props to Big Y Fly Co for this great reel at a great price! “Usually don?t write reviews, but seeing only 1 other person reviewed this reel, I felt like I should.This reel is awesome for a few reasons: it looks and feels high quality. The drag is smooth and can be set very light or very tight, with a small click going up/down on drag. It?s a sealed drag, and the real is full cage (handy for euro with skinny 6x lines or for Spey with thin running line. I have a Sage reel about 3x the price and I wish I had just set me spey setup up on this reel. I would have saved $ and not sacrificed any quality or performance going with this reel instead. I wouldn?t hesitate to buy again, and I probably will. I could go on and on about the quality of this reel, for this price. Give it a try”
