“My cats and I enjoy bird watching so I figured this would be a good option for bird watching minus having to climb up a tree to install a feeder. The suction cups stick very well to my window; they need a thin layer of oil on the cups to ensure maximum sticking. The feeder is small and perfect for sparrows and chickadees. I’ve seen cardinals, finches, tufted titmouses, and woodpeckers visit the feeder, but I don’t think larger birds like robins could fit on the ledge or under the roof of the feeder. The seeds are held in the body of the feeder and supposed to self-replenish as the base of the dish is depleted. This concept works fine for small seeds like millet, but I find that sunflower seeds tend to get stuck due to their size and shape. My only wish is that the opening at the base of the seed holder was taller to allow for free flowing sunflower seeds. Sometimes I have to poke with a toothpick to release sunflower seeds that are blocking the feeder chute. Lastly, I like that the roof is suction cupped to the window and stays in place, and the base slides out for easy cleaning and refilling. If this feeder came in a larger size, I’d pick one up too!”
