Hi David,
Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad to hear you’re enjoying the feeder. Regarding the hanging wire, you might try one of these options:
Loop or tie the wire to shorten the hanging length.
Use an S-hook or chain extender between the feeder and Shepherd’s hook to adjust the height.
If your Shepherd’s hook is adjustable, raising it slightly can also help.
We hope one of these solutions works so your feeder hangs at the perfect height!

“I never thought I could get rid of the squirrels. I had another squirrel proof feeder for years and the squirrels always managed to “wear out the charge”. These feeders ARE squirrel proof. I bought a second because I love them so much. I love my birds!!!”
Hi Gail,
Wow, we’re so glad to hear that our feeders are living up to their promise! It’s great to know the squirrels are finally staying away and that your birds are happy. Buying a second one is the highest compliment—thank you for your support, and we hope you continue enjoying all those feathered visitors! 🐦💛
Happy Holidays

“Although much larger than my last feeder, it only has 4 feeding areas. For it's size I feel at least 6 seed access areas should exist. Also it does not have a traditional perch at the feeding areas but rather a looped metal band.”
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate your comments about the feeder design and understand your thoughts on the number of feeding ports and perch style. The looped metal band is designed to accommodate a variety of bird sizes while maintaining the feeder’s squirrel-proof function. We’ll be sure to share your suggestions with the Brome team for future consideration.
“I almost died laughing watching the squirrels multiple unsuccessful attempts at getting into my stunning and resilient bird feeder. Watching the squirrels fail is almost as fun as watching all the gorgeous birds who use the feeder. Great contraption! Well done.”
