“The grid size is perfect for small birds like Gold Finches and chickadees, but keeps out the *&^% House Sparrows! Super easy to fill and clean and the tray at the bottom is catching most of the dropped sunflower chips.
I ordered it with the Green Protective Cover for Hanging Bird Feeder with Scalloped Edges which will probably keep the rain and snow off the.feeder ports. Looks really nice!

“This bird feeder really does keep squirrels and large birds away. (I still feed squirrels and larger birds, but they were finishing off everything in sight!) I tried a brand called “Squirrel Buster” first — complete waste of money. The squirrels learned to hang on it and eat every seed; anything left the large birds got. The finches, chickadees, etc didn’t stand a chance! This birdfeeder has done the trick. East to fill, easy to clean, and only the small birds can get in. Great purchase!”

“The feeder and cover is sturdy and well made. I haven't had an issue with squirrels at all. The cage cover seems to keep out birds however and the chipmunks love being inside and having a feast! I'll continue to watch for birds and feed the cute chipmunks for awhile.
