“This Clever Clean bird feeder is my first bird feeder, and it has been great! I just got into really watching the birds in my backyard a couple years ago, but had no idea where to start for a feeder for them. I didn't want one that would break easily, but also was blown away by how expensive some of them are. This feeder is so easy to use. The base of the feeder turns a quarter turn and then can be removed completely so that you can easily clean it. Good thing they make it a point to highlight cleaning it, I probably would not have thought of that if I hadn't gotten this feeder (sorry birds!). The top piece lifts straight up along the metal hanger so that you can fill it. Both the top and base are solid, quality pieces of metal, not hard plastic that would break after being in the elements for a year. It won't even break if a squirrel knocks it onto the ground, like one did with mine. I am very pleased with how well made and durable this feeder is. It fits a lot of seed, so I don't have to refill very often. Also, it's very aesthetically nice. The base and top are green, the tube is clear, so it fits in in the yard and doesn't draw a lot of attention. The only problem I've had so far is with squirrels. I don't have a place to put it where squirrels can't get to it, and they love to stick their hands all the way into the feeder and pull out a ton of seed. So it's not squirrel proof, but I'm hoping just a change in seed mix will help. Overall, I love it and highly recommend.”

“My last bird feeder lasted just one season after strong winds knocked it to the ground, cracking the plastic and the metal started rusting over. I've had this one up a few weeks now and it's holding up well so far. I filled it with black oil sunflower seeds and I've seen a few scrub jays, house finches, and chickadees drop by to have a snack. I'm hoping it holds up!”
