“I’m just starting my backyard bird feeding journey, so I bought this and another tube feeder. I had this one out first with black oil sunflower seeds & a few birds noticed it but had a hard time getting a good stance to feed. Once i put the second feeder up, that one is the clear favorite and I’ve not seen a bird on this one since. Very easy to fill & hang and it looks nice but we’ll see if any more birds come to visit”
Hi, Robyn--
We're sorry to hear that the feeder is not meeting your expectations. Birds, much like humans, are creatures of habit. You may find that their path and routine just requires a bit more time to get acclimated. Please keep us updated as time moves forward, and if you're not satisfied, drop us a line at birdlovers@birdschoice.com.
Thank you,
Birds Choice Team
“This feeder hangs from a hook in my back yard. The finches and grosbeak mostly hang out and I've seen as many as 4 feed at one time. Cable hangar is very good quality.”
“I like this feeder but it is difficult to fill without a second hand. The bottom isn’t fully attached to the cage so if you’re not holding it the right way it can let the seed mix spill out. I like how there aren’t any perches to prevent squirrels from getting on it!”
“This is a very nice bird feeder. It has a clamp that you move up the handle to lift the lid to fill. The clamp definitely helps to secure the lid and when the squirrels discovered it, they couldn’t get it off. This is lovely!”
“I received a Copper Mesh Hanging Bird Feeder for Black Oil Sunflower and Shelled Peanuts and love it. I hung it in my back yard and the bird are always out near it now. The only thing is that the feeder itself was a little hard to fill. I put the bird food in a paper cup then squeezed the cup to pour in the feeder. The opening was little small to just dump in but I really like it”
“The Birds Choice Copper Mesh Hanging bird feeder looks great and works well. It’s pretty easy to fill and the birds seem to have no trouble using it. I will say that if you don’t use just the right seeds they tend to flow out due to the mesh size. We have found sunflower seeds to work best. The item seems to be pretty tough too. We found out when the neighborhood squirrels nocked it off the tree and it didn’t seem to bother it at all.”
“I recently got the Copper Mesh Hanging Bird Feeder and for Black Oil Sunflower and Shelled Peanuts, and my wild birds love it. It is easy to fill, which is great because I am now having to refill it every day. I definitely recommend.”
“This is one of the best looking bird feeders I have run across. It's very easy to fill with bird seed. The one thing that I have gotten burned on is hanging it from a tree. The squirles can leap onto the feeder on the side and get access. Going to try a small pole to see if that helps.”
