While not being bear proof, it should last a long time being made of recycled plastic. I've had a number of clinging birds, woodpeckers, 3 different types, chickadees, nuthatches, and titmouse using it. I'd likely get better use of it if I didn't have 2 other vertical feeders, plus a hopper feeder. Recommend one.

He/she loved it and found it at once. Holds two cakes which were quickly consumed. Beautifully made.

This is the second one of these I've purchased. My woodpeckers love them, and they are more difficult for the sparrows to hang onto. I did discover that they need to be hung from a tree branch to attract woodpeckers. It takes the birds a while to get used to them but once they find them, they love them! I have been going through MUCH less suet with these feeders. Also, I love the fact that they will last forever.

The Birds Choice Suet feeder has been a hit! I’ve had so many birds at this feeder. I love that it’s durable and made very well… Easy to slide suet bars into and offers much more space for multiple birds than the average suet cage

This is a very sturdy well made feeder. The top lifts up to put the suet inside. I am basing my review on the quality of the product, although I have yet to see any birds feed from it. It may take them awhile to find it.

I got this about a month ago as I thought it was so cute and clever to have an upside down suet feeder. Unfortunately, the birds have never really taken to it. Occasionally some small birds will hang onto the cage so they can get a little suet. It did on es look so cute hanging on the pole though.
