It dissolves easily in cold water; 4 parts water with 1 part sucrose. The pouch has 1 cup of sucrose. Our feeder holds about 1 cup of nectar liquid. So, we combined ¼ cup of the sucrose with 1 cup of water. It filled the feeder completely. It lasted a few days in a semi-shade location in our yard. The birds were lured readily, and they keep returning. My wife and I enjoy sitting in our yard and gazing at these lovely birds. It is a tranquil feeling while enjoying our morning coffee!”
