“It was much bigger than what I thought it would be. It comes with three long rods that can be used to sustain the weight of the feeder of the top. Due to how big this is and the long rods, we only used one of them so it can withstand the winds and its easier for my height to fill the feeder. I like the look of it and cant wait to see birds feeding off of it!”
“I am very impressed with this feeder.
It is high quality and light weight with a solid structure. It was very easy to assemble, and has a gallon and one half capacity. The metering ring will only allow seeds to drop as the birds make room, by eating. The best part is that the birds seem to love it too.”
“I got to figure out within a few days whether this kept the squirrels at bay and happy to say no squirrels successful in getting the seed. On several occasions they were able to climb up the pole to the bottom of the feeder but since there is another foot they were unable to reach and after a second on the pole you could see their feet slipping on the pole and they would immediately jump off. They like to get the seeds that fall off the ground and that's fine by me as long as the birds can eat in peace!”
“This bird feeder is wonderful and I am very pleased with it. I have had it in my yard for approximately 7-10 days and have had multiple types of birds on it all day long. It was extremely easy to assemble and took no longer than 10 minutes out of the box. It has three sturdy poles that are connected effortlessly and the hopper is placed on the top. The poles are so sturdy, that the feeder was able to withstand a thunderstorm last week that the high winds knocked out power to most of our area. In the past I have purchased hot pepper birdseed to keep the squirrels off of my previous feeders. This can get extremely expensive, especially if you have a multitude of birds, as we do. I am ecstatic that I can now use whatever birdseed that I prefer, because squirrels are no longer an issue. You do, however, have to place this feeder far away from trees, bushes, fences, house roofs, etc. Even though the squirrels cannot climb the post they will continue to try and jump onto the feeder if given the opportunity. I am planning to purchase an additional one soon, and I would definitely recommend this feeder to anyone who enjoys watching and feeding the birds.”
“We have a ninja squirrel that ALWAYS get in our bird feeder including the “squirrel proof” ones. But this feeder has stopped his game! This feeder was pretty easy to put together, other than the cap that goes on the end that the feeder itself attaches too. I had to fight with it to get it on and to get the feeder to slide down on. But its very easy to fill and keep clean. I was a little confused on the plastic divider that goes inside because it was loose, but it’s just to make sure the feed goes down to the holes. My little song birds love it because they don’t have to hang on for dear life like they do our other 2 hanging ones. Also to add this thing is sturdy, we had a wind storm the night I put it out and it didn’t budge at all. It’s a great feeder!”
“I am really enjoying this new bird feeder. We cleared a lot of the trees from around the house since we live on the coast and hurricanes and trees don't mix. So, when i was offered this one to review I was so excited. Fortunately, it lived up to my expectations. The pole allows you to place it directly into the ground. No tree needed. The pole is also thick and solid. It is not bendy at all. I needed a wide flat hammer to get it into the ground, and then the feeder gets placed on top. The top of the feeder comes off to fill it. It's a wide opening, so easy to fill. It rocks, so making it a lot harder for squirrels to get into it. So far we have only seen birds feeding from it, which is awesome. Since the feeder lifts off thr pole, it will be a breeze to bring in when a large storm approaches. Can't find any negatives. It really exceeded my expectations!”
“Recently got a Classic Feeder with Squirrel Baffle and Pole. It works as advertised! The squirrels have not been able to take over this feeder. It came completely assembled so all I had to do was put the poles into the ground and fill it with birdseed. Placed it so I can watch from the front window, and within an hour I saw chickadees, goldfinches, sparrows and juncos. I followed the directions in setting it up and the only suggestion I have for improvement would be to put a point on the end of the pole that goes in the ground. I couldn't pound the pole deep enough myself and a point might help. All in all I'm very happy with this feeder.”
